Setting up delivery and pickup
Understand how delivery profiles and product-level Click & Collect work together without mixing their setup or order lifecycles.
Seller AcademyUpdated 27 July 2026
Upfrica keeps delivery and Click & Collect separate. Delivery uses a shipping profile; Click & Collect uses a verified pickup location that you enable for each suitable product.
For delivery
- Add an accurate dispatch address and create a reusable delivery profile.
- Set realistic coverage, methods, prices and preparation estimates.
- Connect suitable products to the profile and review the buyer-facing price.
- For a paid order, prepare, dispatch and record the requested evidence.
For Click & Collect
- Create a pickup location with its public area, hours and buyer instructions.
- Submit the location and required evidence for Upfrica verification.
- Enable the verified location separately on each suitable product.
- For a paid order, prepare it, mark Ready for pickup and verify the buyer's one-time code during handover.
What buyers see
- Checkout shows only the fulfilment choices eligible for that product and location.
- Delivery shows the available method, charge and estimate.
- Click & Collect shows the public pickup area and preparation information.
- The exact pickup address is revealed according to the location privacy setting and order stage.
Keep the two lifecycles accurate
- A delivery order can move through dispatch and delivery states.
- A pickup order moves through preparation, Ready for pickup and verified collection.
- Never mark a pickup order dispatched or a delivery order collected.
- Keep payment, messages, status updates and evidence inside Upfrica.

Important
Click & Collect orders are prepaid through Upfrica. Do not arrange cash pickup or reveal a private collection address outside the official flow.
